We are the brave

We are the brave.

We do not fear consequences; we expect them and mostly - ignore them.

We are not driven by rewards, only a sense of duty.

Most people fight a battle when they have fair odds of winning. Some even fight ones with the odds against them. But only we can fight the lost battles. Only we can give our heart and soul to lost causes. And expect nothing in return - not even a faint hope of being understood.

We might sound egoistical, but that’s impossible. Men like us have no sense of ‘self’.

We do not pray and we do not fear god. We just believe in him.

We do not have weak moments, only strong will.

We are determined – we would not stop and we would not rest. We are not discouraged by hardships, nor disheartened by failures. For us, every failure is another reason to try again – and so is another success. Wins and losses have no meaning for us.

We do not take sides, we stand on our own. We do not sell our beliefs or glorify our plights. We have none.

Time tells our stories and the world tries to tread the path we carve. Our deeds are the stuff of legends and our words the adrenaline of the masses.

We are always there for our friends – the young look up to us and old rely on us.

We are the brave. And we would not be known for the battles we won, but those we chose.
