The great nation

‎"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." - by that standard, we are nowhere close to greatness; we never miss an opportunity to look down on people, based on wealth, class, caste or even education. Wherever I see, we are infested with the feeling of superiority - the more educated you are the more severe the problem is, from IITs to IIMs. That what the professors teach you, thats what the recruiters tell you, thats what your peers believe, thats what your parents generation passed on as heritage. I had the misfortune of knowing more and more such people as I moved into BTech, MDI and IIM. Am I being judgemental? probably I am, but truth be told, some of them were absolute pests, leeches, sucking whatever resources they can- when the genuine needy ones suffer for the basic necessities.
